We’re hiring for an Engineering Manager to support our lead qualification and customer success processes. They will be managing our Lead Qualification Pod- where you will be responsible for building, managing and mentoring a team of creative engineers. 

This Engineering Manager will work closely with Qualification and Engagement Product Manager to build our state of the art qualification platform  in an agile development environment. They will also work alongside our Director of Customer Success, Sales/Marketing/Customer Service stakeholders, and other SDEs to understand and verify requirements. They must be a thorough and proactive communicator, as they will be responsible for ensuring that all communication platform changes are high-quality and enable the company’s customer success processes. 


What you’ll be doing as an Engineering Manager:

  • Manage, coach, and mentor a defined team of software development engineers.
  • Work with the CTO and Lead Qualification stakeholders to define technical solutions to a prioritized list of initiatives that meet the company’s business needs.
  • Manage engineering resources to ensure defined initiatives meet expected delivery dates.
  • Provide architectural solutions & drive decision making tied to Lead Qualification activities.

Basic requirements to do the job:

  • 5+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years of team leadership or direct management experience with software development engineers
  • Experience supporting a customer success team using scoring and qualification frameworks
  • Experience with a high volume contact center (10k+ contacts/day)
  • Experience with call center communication platforms such as FiveNine or TalkDesk. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English fluency

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Basic experience operating in a Service Oriented Architecture
  • Basic experience with agile development methodology
  • Experience with industries such as e-commerce, real estate, banking, or lead generation

Our headquarters is located in Chicago and our team is currently working remotely. Our company intends to return to in-person office work when it is safe to do so, and employees feel comfortable going in. This role can be performed fully remotely.
