Pangea is seeking a software engineering leader to manage and build our fast-growing engineering team. You will report to the VP of Engineering and be responsible for the development of Pangea’s consumer and enterprise products. Pangea’s platform includes a set of native iOS, Android, and Web applications and a set of API microservices using multiple languages, all hosted on AWS.

As Engineering Manager, you'll get to:

• Mentor and coach a diverse group of software developers to effectively execute product roadmaps and produce quality code. You will oversee everything from task planning and code review to long-term career planning. 
• Collaborate with product managers to define quarterly roadmaps for Pangea’s consumer remittance application, banking product, and enterprise API solution.
• Partner with agile project manager and product team to plan and manage development sprints. 
• Manage the technical delivery of platform initiatives and third-party integrations. Under your leadership, developers will build features for the Pangea platform that improve user experience and prevent fraud, and create APIs and services that launch new markets and payment methods. 
• Build a high-performing, world-class engineering team. You will work closely with Pangea’s HR team to recruit, hire, and onboard top talent. 
• Work closely with technical leadership on strategic planning to evolve our architecture, security, and scale without sacrificing product delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development. 
• 2+ years of experience managing engineers.
• Strong technical skills across a broad range of full-stack development, REST APIs, and data architectures.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies and planning tools such as JIRA.
• The ability to learn quickly and work well with others.
• A desire for excellence and strong attention to detail.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in the fintech or payments industry.
• Experience with AWS.
