The Engineering Manager (.NET Software Development) is responsible for architecture, project ownership, and team leadership. You will design, develop, test, debug, and implement operating systems components, software tools, and utilities; as well as determining the systems software design requirements.

You Will:

• Manage and coordinate the work of a team of developers
• Coach, motivate, train and retain “A Players”
• Have hands-on design, architecture and development expertise using Microsoft .NET and SQL Server
• Create, review, and approve test plans including scope, test methodology, and test case identification
• Apply sound quality management methods, tools, and techniques
• Work with QA resources to define QA activities for project plans, along with ensuring delivery on schedules for testing activities
• Act as the "Voice of the Customer" when participating in product readiness reviews
• Conduct ongoing and in-depth needs analysis (approximately 20% of total time) with internal users and stakeholders
• Work with both internal and external users to document project success criteria
• Drive continuous improvement within Scrum team by focusing on engineering excellence

You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Computer Science)
• Acted as a player-coach with 5-7+ years industry experience
  • 5+ years of development experience
  • 2+ years of prior team management experience with a minimum of two direct reports preferred
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns
• Solid experience with the following technologies; C#, .NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, HTML/DOM/CSS, ADO.NET, TSQL, TypeScript
• High proficiency in testing methodology, SDLC methodology, test documentation procedures and QA Best Practices
• A clear understanding of automated test processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers, and senior management)
• Excellent team building, negotiation, and consensus building abilities
• Ability to motivate and build high-performance testing and software development teams
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Experience developing Single Page Applications, familiarity with Angular, Chrome Debugger, Middle-Tier Design, Database Design, Project Planning/Management, Agile/Scrum SDLC, and skill using tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage the lifecycle
