Responsibilities

• Empower, inspire and support up to 8 engineers, helping each member of your team realize their professional development goals
• Promote collaboration and inclusivity within and across teams
• Identify and address factors inhibiting the efficiency and effectiveness of development processes
• Review technical specifications and contribute to the development of high quality, pragmatic solutions that fulfill complex business requirements
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and business leaders to develop a roadmap of features balanced with the need to address technical debt

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience with an object-oriented or functional programming language
• 2+ years of experience as a software engineering team lead or engineering manager, demonstrating a dedication to creating an environment that facilities happy and fulfilled developers
• Understanding of microservice architecture patterns and anti-patterns
• Experience working with relational databases at scale

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of the challenges inherent in concurrent and distributed programming and strategies for managing them
• Familiarity with Unix, Git, Docker, and AWS
