We are looking for a dynamic, organized and self-starter engineer to join our Power Systems & Controls Development (PS&CD) team in Mossville, IL.
As an Engineering Project Team Leader, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor on complex and exciting projects that will support Advanced Power Products (APP). You will be responsible for leading the requirements definition for large, multi-million-dollar facility upgrade projects that will support electrification development and validation work in Mossville Technical Center.
This will involve collaborating closely with a cross-functional teams to establish business case, define technical requirements, define Facility Specification Request (FSR), prioritize execution & govern alignment to target dates.
You will also help with developing long term test strategy and multi generation project plan for APP testing, especially in Mossville Tech Center. This will not only include the electrification related efforts but also the facility upgrades required to support hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen reciprocating engine testing.
Knowledge and experience with facility development or product development excellence style rigor and governance are key attributes of the incumbent. This may include but not limited to leveraging internal requirement management tools like CLEAR and NPI process rigor to develop and document facility requirements. Developing strong peer relationships, collaboration with global teams and effective communication is also key to being successful in this role.
APP development and testing work is dynamic, fast paced with opportunities to grow and develop. Engineer in this role has an opportunity to develop test procedures, standard work and be involved in applying LEAN and product development excellence principles to improve product performance, reliability, and cost.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate and lead development of technical requirements for facility upgrades to support electrification (battery, power conversion, energy storage systems) and hydrogen fuel cell testing
  • Develop templates and document technical requirements via tools like CLEAR
  • Develop, govern, and prioritize project timelines and alignment with test needs
  • Develop electrification and hydrogen MGPP for testing
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to manage capital budget/spend forecast
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited curriculum
  • 5+ years of requirements management, product or facility development or relevant industry experience in electrification area
  • Experience with product testing and/or facility engineering
  • Self-starter with aptitude for developing clear & complete technical requirements
  • Strong communication skills - Oral and written complemented by the ability to develop/deliver stakeholder presentations


Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Relevant industry or academic experience with focus on power electronics
  • The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions


Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Mossville, IL.
  • Up to 20% Travel.
