Description
As a Senior Engineering Team lead, you will lead global, cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and maintain technology products as well as business support services for surface mining applications including Detect, Terrain, Fleet, Edge and Command products. You will be accountable for planning and coordinating the execution of the technical workstream of programs, supplying technical support for the delivery of products, planning and leading product maintenance activities, defining product requirements, defining product strategies, learning and staying abreast of innovative technologies, mentoring and coaching Enterprise team members, and deepening your professional network within technology and mining. This role will require regular interactions and communications with internal and external customers as well as suppliers. You will serve as the primary technical interface between Enterprise representatives for the management of MineStar business and support systems.
Job Duties
Facilitating the technical delivery and support of products. Focus areas included, but not limited to: Program execution, product safety and compliance, quality, performance definition and verification, supply chain support, and maintenance.
Ensuring the technical delivery of projects to meet timelines, budgets, and quality targets while delivering on customer requirements; applying good business acumen to make trade-offs to optimize the product and between constraints, when necessary.
Managing annual budgets and program life-time forecasts related to product development and research.
Defining and managing product requirements and strategies based on application and current product knowledge.
Leveraging the cross-functional teams to formulate decisions and develop recommendations.
Collaborating with business partners to deliver products and solutions.
Enhancing the team's creativity and cooperation/collaboration.
Representing the technical workstream within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, across multiple levels of management and with the customer.
The Engineering Specialist-Performance/Simulation/Application must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology. This position must develop increased technical breadth and/or depth at this level, as well as gaining increased business management skills. Additional key skills at this level include development of acceptance criteria, new product introduction process, practical application of theory, ability to select appropriate tools and methodologies, manufacturing and quality processes and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering curriculum or equivalent
5+ years of related experience.
10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with mining and/or technology products.
Top Candidates will also have
Experience with embedded system, guidance and control products, and/or machine automation.
Experience with large enterprise solutions applications.
Experience with Cloud computing solutions.
Previous team leadership experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Experience with requirements management in systems design.
Additional Information
The location for this position is East Peoria, IL
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position may require less than 10% travel
