Position Overview

In the Front-End Developer role, you can expect to work closely with every part of One North (partnering with industry-leading strategists and designers, building with architects and developers, etc.). Responsibilities

• Engineer for performance, accessibility, maintainability, and efficiency, while also creating beautiful end-user experiences.
• Bring a solid understanding of the tools, processes, and approaches for building world-class front-end experiences, utilizing skills and appreciation for UX/UI and creative design principles.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teammates across our agency capabilities to deliver strategic solutions to our client’s challenges.

Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced practitioner of HTML/CSS/JS
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SCSS, LESS)
• Solid command of advanced/modern CSS techniques
• Proficient understanding of SEO concepts, especially concerning semantic markup
• Ability to develop responsive websites
• Ability to create websites that meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0)
• Familiarity with and interest in JS Frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Svelte)
• Ability to integrate 3rd party libraries depending on project requirements
• Familiarity with Git and version control concepts
• Familiarity with various front end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, Parcel)
• Experienced in building with both headless and traditional Content Management Systems
• Profound understanding of cross-browser/platform compatibility
• Ability to navigate design platforms (Figma, Sketch) and identify potential conflicts/opportunities
• Experience with JavaScript and timeline-based animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, Three.js)
• Experience building web applications with Node and Express
• Exposure to database tools, particularly MongoDB/Mongoose
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eye for detail and high personal standards
• Professional curiosity and ability to stay up to date with emerging technologies
