Front End Magento Developer

Orderve is seeking a Front End Magento Developer to support a new innovation hub.

Orderve is a start-up that is building an online marketplace dedicated to restaurants discovering and sourcing specialty food. We are challenging the legacy food service business model with an e-commerce marketplace platform that will connect chefs with vendors small and large. While supported by a well-established food service company and Relish Works, Inc., the innovation hub, we operate as an independent start-up focused on solving specific user-centered problems around buying and selling food.

What you’ll do

We need a Magento Developer to build new functionality that will delight our users, from initial discovery phases through implementation and deployment. As a Front End Magento Developer, you will work with our product, UX/UI design, and engineering teams to understand user and business needs in order to build intuitive interfaces and provide quality solutions that meet the requirements of our growing eCommerce marketplace. You will help shape the strategic solutions our site requires to grow and thrive as a specialty food marketplace. 

Qualifications:

• 2+ years Magento 2 front end development experience

• JavaScript: AJAX, RequireJS, KnockoutJS, jQuery  

• Styling: LESS, CSS, grunt, NodeJS

• Magento 2 layout: XML, block execution, production builds, a basic understanding of Magento objects and methods

• VCS: git experience and understanding branching principles

• Composer: installing and running composer, including reading and updating composer.json

• Magento 2 Architecture: Understanding of all frontend architecture, as well as familiarity with backend architecture such as Dependency Injection, as well as other M2 architecture

• Magento 2 Certification: Professional Front End Developer

• Magento 2 Certification: Professional JavaScript Developer

• Experience using XDEBUG for debugging

• PHPStorm experience

• Setting up local LAMP stack for local development

• Command-line experience including Magento CLI, composer, grunt, nodejs (npm)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree 

• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, CRM Applications, Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software as needed.
