 Front End Engineer

The Front End Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development and design of new clients’ learning portals which are used to train doctors, engineers, lawyers and virtually every other type of professional.  Your day to day role will involve full stack development on both client portals and core platform functionality. You will code primarily in CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, React and interact with a MySQL database backend. Autonomous individuals with a creative streak are encouraged to apply.    

 

We are a distributed team with members spread throughout the country as well as working out of offices in Atlanta and Boston.  Community Brands also has offices in Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, Maitland, FL, and McLean, VA. Our preferred location for this role is St. Pete, FL or Lombard, IL. 

   

Responsibilities:  

  • Work with stakeholders in the client implementation process to fully configure their user-facing websites 
  • Work with QA to ensure your code is fully tested and working properly 
  • Write clean, documented code within defined coding standards 
  • Participate in code review process with the team 
  • Deploy to production when the project is complete 

     

We'd love to chat if you have: 

  

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, React, SVN/GIT 
  • 3 years relevant working experience 
  • Experience with API web services (SOAP and/or REST) 
  • Experience with AWS is a plus 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • The desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering degree
