Position Description

  • A solid grasp of fundamental algorithms and applications
  • Experience developing complex applications
  • Lead the design and development of solutions in the areas of front-end software design, implementation, deployment support, and unit testing
  • Strong design and coding skills in Typescript/JavaScript, and/or React
  • Firm understanding of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of platforms, including first-time user experience, connectivity issues, and perceived performance
  • Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team
  • Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to work with abstract concepts
  • Hands on experience with JavaScript frameworks
  • Passion for operational excellence
  • Meets/exceeds Pareto’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or IT related field
  • Deep knowledge of React & AngularJS
  • Good understanding of HTML & CSS

Preferred Skills

  • 1-3 years of strong front-end software engineering experience
  • Familiar with TypeScript
  • Ideally experience with Redux, GraphQL, RxJS, and Node.js
  • Architecture and software design experience, including strong design patterns knowledge
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of the importance of end to end software development which may include working in Agile methodologies and processes
  • Motivate and lead the team
  • Passion for learning & researching new technologies
  • Hands on & fill the gaps in development
  • Coaches and mentors members of the team
  • Engages with technology and business leadership to evolve architectural principles and ensure alignment with technology solutions

  • Strong Communication Skills – Ability to clearly and concisely communicate information and ideas orally and in writing
  • Quality Assurance – Ability to perform systematic self-review to ensure work product is accurate and satisfies its intended purpose

Successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, when necessary.  Estimated travel is approximately less than 10% of the time.
