As a Front End Web Development Lead, you are a key member of Motorola Solutions’ Digital Transformation IT team building next generation customer experiences on our global Digital platforms. You will help define the technical approach for overall UI development and work with our Product Management and UX Design team to drive the implementation for the next generation of our user facing applications. You have digital consumer experience with the Adobe Experience Cloud and expertise in setting up and configuring AEM. You will lead a talented IT team to understand required business outcomes, implement requirements and provide technical advisory and solution delivery for the deployment of a corporate-wide Digital Platform, including content management, eCommerce and self service portals.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
Direct aspects of solution implementations based off of IT and business needs related to Content Management, eCommerce and custom front end applications
Lead design & front end development effort to implement next-generation applications using development best practices in the latest technologies
Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, along with UX and UI designers, Front End engineers, strategy, and business analysts to develop front-end code based off of wireframes, visual designs and UX specifications
Partner with architects to provide solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business requirements and architectural vision
Lead and provide technical solutions that can be configured in our digital platform (AEM), and provide outside in thinking to propose alternative solutions where a fit in the existing solution is not optimal
Lead and drive configuration of all design, development, and deployment associated with assigned topics, including all technical configuration settings, administration settings, and provide overall platform domain expertise
Participate in solution and design discussions with team members and build consensus around how to deliver the solutions imperatively, and minimize the amount of work required to deliver the intended value
Help team plan and execute each sprint and assist with impediments to the sprint goal, and in identifying ways to unblock tasks as needed
Support product owners from a technical perspective to create well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria that meet the team’s definition of sprint-ready, and are good enough to begin work
Experience with designing and implementing large scale solutions. Works with key stakeholders to design complex solutions and lead from inception to production
Experience managing a team of UI, Front End Engineers and AEM developers
Experience as a Tech Lead for projects, including estimation, scoping, managing project engineering team, client management, and successful delivery
Knowledge of the AEM 6.x technology stack; Architect and build advanced dynamic web applications based on the AEM digital marketing stack
Experience in front end test automation approaches (such as Mocha, Jest) are desired
Proficient in AEM foundational concepts, including the CRX repository, the CQ platform and the use of core frameworks (e.g., Apache Sling, Apache Felix)
Deep understanding of all AEM building blocks, including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., and the AEM development and deployment process
Ability to translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code to produce visual elements
Development experience with integrations and maintains complex API interfaces with focus on user experience
Ability to lead and mentor developers
Proven track in leading web application design and development
Practitioner of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) and familiarity with change management tools (preferably Jira)
Performs technical design, coding with test automation, support, and documentation of software application modifications
Experience with DevOps pipelines and tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc.) and one or more cloud infrastructure providers (ex. AWS)
Should have executed projects with an onsite/offshore model
Creates and maintains DevOps processes, application infrastructure and cloud services
Experience integrating personalization platforms such as Adobe Target desired
Proven experience in one or more digital marketing stacks (e.g. AEM, Sitecore) or across multiple solutions within an experience marketing products suite (e.g. Web, DAM, Analytics, Email Marketing)
Experience in a scaled Agile environment, preferably SAFe and DevOps experience required
Experience with CI/CD best practices and DevOps to production using Jenkins, git, bitbucket or similar toolsets
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or MIS from an accredited university
7+ years experience implementing solutions with one or more content management systems, AEM preferrable.
