About the role:

The Mx Group is looking for an experienced software engineer with strong .NET/.NET Core and C# skills to join our application development team. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain web and mobile applications, including both new systems and existing applications. You’ll have the opportunity to work with and learn a wide variety of technologies. As part of an open, collaborative team, you’ll flex your creative thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver the best possible solutions to our clients. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level developer to advance their web development career and learn new skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

As our new software engineer, you will:

• Design and develop diverse, market-facing web and mobile apps
• Execute technical requirements to ensure all designs adhere to client specifications
• Perform maintenance on existing web applications
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Collaborate with a team of developers, business analysts and QA analysts to achieve project success
• Explore new tools, practices and processes that could improve the team’s performance

This is a full-time, in-house position with little to no travel requirement and no downtime between projects.

What we’re looking for:

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in web development
• Skilled in .NET/.NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Angular 2+
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and SDLC
• Passionate about the software engineering field
• An innate desire to learn, go beyond the basics and work toward mastery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working with minimal direction

Desired Qualifications

• Ionic
• Node.js
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
