Job Description

KTS is seeking to add industrial engineers to fill a key role on the company's manufacturing team with a focus on software, mobile device, and computer deployments to our military customers. The candidate should be a self-starter with new ideas and have experience producing military equipment.

This role facilitates long and short-term plan optimization by balancing factory capacity, constraints, and profitability for a make-to-order manufacturing environment. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Generate utilization and efficiency reports to track daily operations
• Develop policies and procedures for lean manufacturing processes
• Optimize equipment utilization and manufacturing productivity utilizing lean principles
• Interpret technical aspects of equipment to assist in problem solving and minimize downtime
• Responsible for worker and plant safety
• Labor load leveling
• Maintains work center schedule
• Participates with new product launch
• Monitors production equipment
• Maintains excellent customer service

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or similar
• 5-10 years’ experience as engineer or operations management
• Six Sigma, TPS or other lean manufacturing experience
• Proficiency with financial and technical reports
• Demonstrated strategic and analytical problem-solving skills regarding engineering, mechanical, systems/processes, quality control and personnel issues
• Problem solving skills
• Time management
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
