The Information Security Manager will play an instrumental role in overseeing Paylocity’s information security policies, standards, and procedures and will work collaboratively with the entire organization to ensure that these standards are adhered to. This person will drive a strong compliance posture over our IT controls that includes a deliberate testing and reporting cadence. 

 

Reporting to the CISO and VP of IT Operations, this position will also work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders (CFO, SVP of Operations, SVP of Product Development, Internal Audit, etc.) to execute Paylocity’s security strategy in relation to governance, risk, and compliance. This role oversees our business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, and third-party oversight programs including exercise and testing routines. This role will also oversee critical pieces of our IT controls testing, review, and compliance as well as privacy compliance initiatives.

 

The manager in this key role will also ensure that Paylocity’s security processes are properly designed and are functioning effectively and that the organization maintains its compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. In addition, the role will be responsible for ensuring that Paylocity properly identifies, assesses, and manages its enterprise risks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in tech information security, including experience managing teams
  • Experience leading corporate-wide initiatives for meeting security related certification and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SSAE-16, etc.) including process control design and testing.
  • Prior experience managing a team of security professionals. 
  • Deep knowledge of risk management and governance processes. 
  • Experience creating, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing Security Awareness and vendor management programs.
  • Experience creating, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving disaster recovery and business continuity programs.
  • Experience managing, testing, and risk-assessing IT controls.
  • Well versed in the state legal regulatory requirements related to information security and privacy and the information security issues affecting financial service organizations and cloud based application service providers. 
  • Familiarity with the information security issues affecting financial service organizations and cloud based application service providers.
  • Understands the tenants of enterprise risk management (threat management, vulnerability management, and risk treatment).
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, information assurance, computer science, management information systems, computer information systems, or a related discipline.

During the last three months, you would have:

  • Served as a subject matter expert for Information Security and related risk, governance, and compliance regulations
  • Collaborated across an organization to ensure that security and compliance requirements are met
  • Managed information security and privacy related policies, standards, and procedures
  • Assessed and tested compliance and IT controls and standards taking action to remediate issues
  • Evaluated security risks through a risk assessment framework that assesses the potential impact of threats to the business 
  • Designed and implemented a program to collect and report information security related performance metrics and key risk indicators
  • Provided our executive leadership team with timely updates to ensure awareness of security risks.
  • Identified compliance objectives and mapped program deliverables to the requirements.
