Future Finance is changing the student finance landscape by offering undergraduate and postgraduate students a new way to fund their university education. We are a passionate bunch with a simple core belief: no qualified student should be denied a productive education purely for financial reasons. It really bugs us that money gets in the way of otherwise deserving students. That’s why we’re charging hard to expand access to education by offering fair student loans to high-potential students.

The Role:

We are excited to welcome motivated, energised students or recent graduates for a three to six month internship with our tech team in Chicago. Your challenge will be to help to build the products and processes that make accessing finance as easy and transparent as possible. During the course of the internship, you will spend time with engineers in all of our departments. You will see in depth how the front end, back end, database and product teams work together to craft the systems that allow our company to flourish. You will be given expert, 1-1 mentorship from our leaders, including the CTO.

At the end of the placement, you will give a presentation to the company about the work you have completed, the contribution you have made to the business, and the key learning outcomes of your placement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands on experience in an exciting and growing Fintech company and to drive product development forward with the help of an excellent team. (Oh - and we'll pay you).

Your Qualifications and Skills:

• You have demonstrated academic ability, with a 3.5 GPA or higher
• You are solutions oriented, with a proactive attitude to work and learning
• You are a collaborative teammate, who can lead from your level
• You have a curious mindset combined with a logical approach to problem solving
• You have worked in startup environments where being a self-starter was vital to success
• Ideally, you have experience in a coding language - Node.js, Ruby, and Haskell are all a plus
