We’re in search of a Senior Java Developer who can help us in our effort to make our market leading ThinkTrader platform even better. You will be responsible for planning, successful execution and ongoing support of complex development projects for our back end components. You will be working with other global team members to coordinate the requirements pipeline, implementation and release.  If you are able to design and implement solid API and functional interfaces and work with other teams to troubleshoot customer facing production issues you are the perfect candidate for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect web-based trading applications using Java 8
• Help and advise in the selection and integration of the best technology for our portfolio
• Work closely with Front-End Developers to define and implement API services that are scalable and easy to consume
• Work with open-source technologies such as Kafka, NATS, ELK stack etc as needed
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch
• Understand the bottlenecks in the system and address them as necessary so that we can scale with the business needs
• Work with CI and CD tools and source control such as GIT and/or SVN
• Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for enhancing our user experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field
• 7+ years of experience developing with Java, most recently Java 8 or newer
• Trading or financial services experience is a must
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Spring framework
• Strong familiarity with agile development tools such as GIT and JIRA
• Understanding of databases such as Cassandra
• Familiarity of FIX protocol and other trading systems information
