Our team is growing! Freeosk Inc. is searching for a full-time, Chicago-based JavaScript Developer to join our Software Development team to help us create the next version of our kiosk application. In this role, you’ll use your technical expertise to ensure a successful version transition through developing and maintaining the essential kiosk features our business needs to be successful. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in modern JavaScript Framework and is eager to take on the challenge of implementing a complete revamp of our kiosk application. We are looking for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge, collaborating, and brainstorming with an Agile team. Some of the key responsibilities you’ll have include:

• Integrate existing front-end JS platform into the back-end of our kiosk application
• Expand our kiosk’s front-end with features in response to business needs and requests
• Maintain and expand the appropriate kiosk test suites
• Maintain transparent communication on projects by providing daily status reports
• Check in code and perform code reviews
• Participate in all team activities such as sprint planning, story time and retrospectives

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience with a major modern Javascript framework such as React, Angular, CanJS, or Ember
• 3+ years of experience using Git
• Knowledge of Unix based operating systems a plus
• Knowledge of C#, Java or Ruby a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize daily activities based on project goals established by management
