This is a full-time role, remote

Tools like these were previously only available to big businesses with big bankrolls and their own developers, but our platform caters to neighborhood stores, independent retailers, and other small to midsize businesses. We have our service deployed in many cities across the U.S. and Mexico.

The Jira Admin will be responsible for the technical operation/administration enhancement, maintenance, integration and roll out of enterprise-wide Atlassian-based solutions (i.e JIRA, Confluence, internal applications and related integrations/plug-ins) across SpotOn. This role is accountable for high availability, performance and enhanced capabilities of the Atlassian product suite

This position will be responsible for owning, managing, defining and optimizing standard Atlassian tools and processes to drive Atlassian best practices and increased collaboration across various SpotOn teams.

This position reports to the Director of Product Operations.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence (ideally familiar with Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud)
  • Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite
  • Create complex JIRA workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
  • Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community
  • Define and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
  • Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams. 
  • Troubleshoot issues, communicate with process owners and continue to improve support processes.
  • Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes
  • Provide JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA
  • Able to create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports
  • Creating and maintaining technical and/or user facing documentation for training
  • Working with remote teams and team members desired
  • Working with Agile projects and processes with multiple cross-functional teams

What skill are we searching for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum (3) years’ of related experience.
  • Excellent communicator who can work with and influence all functions and levels.
  • Will need to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in JQL and developing custom scripts
  • Knowledge of migrating, merging various Atlassian deployment like Jira Cloud
  • Atlassian Certified Professional credentials
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change
  • Excellent decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
