Your Role in our Mission

We are looking for a leader to help plan and improve our architecture to support our next phase of growth. Ideal candidates will be problem solvers with an innate desire to develop software that simplifies daily tasks and improves productivity for our end users.  If you’re passionate about developing the best software, as well as coaching other developers to do so, then we want to hear from you!

You will architect and build the systems that power our application, focusing on scalability and the continuous improvement of our engineering practices. Your work will have a direct impact on the people that use our system and the communities they serve and live in. 

Your Goal as an Architect

  • Translate business vision into software architecture and technical specs
  • Collaborate with and mentor other engineering team members to improve quality and velocity
  • Provide thoughtful guidance to engineering team members on architectural decisions and task execution
  • Design and implement new features
  • Collaborate on creating a scalable infrastructure to serve our growing user base

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in a rapidly evolving, early-stage growth startup (Series A VC funded) 
  • Experience refining and developing tech systems in a company as it prepares to scale from hundreds of users to tens of thousands
  • Able to translate business vision into software architecture and technical specs
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting monolithic applications as well as a microservices architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline and the AWS ecosystem
  • At ease in our tech stack: Ruby, Go, React, Postgres, ElasticSearch
  • Ruthless dedication to quality
  • Passionate in empowering and coaching developers; distributed team experience will be a plus
