Job Description
TITLE: Lead Automation Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Lead Automation Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to gather requirements, build, test, and deploy automation workflows using industry standard tools with minimal oversight. Utilize best practices to optimize processes using automation. Reduce incident handling time, change implementation time, and service delivery. Create monitoring solutions using industry standard tools. Research and gather requirements for automation. Design, build, test and implement automation workflows. Research and gather requirements for monitoring. Design, build, test and implement monitoring. Research, identify, and document best practices for use by the team. Provide mentoring/oversight to lower level employees on the team. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or related occupation: working on service catalog requests, asset management, configuration management, service now administration, orchestration, incident and problem management, knowledge management, reporting, gauges, and integration with web services; designing and building queries, reports, and dashboards using data visualization tool, including ServiceNow’s Performance Analytics; integrating ServiceNow with Amazon web services, Jenkins, Docker, Openshift and Kubernetes using Service Now Orchestration to create virtual servers and maintaining the servers in Amazon web services from ServiceNow; writing and maintaining scripts in ServiceNow for Orchestration and Automation; designing and creating multiple deployment strategies using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines; using Chef with Ruby; developing Cookbooks, Recipes for RabbitMQ, Appdynamics, Splunk to manage systems configuration and to rollout for the infrastructure; creating and writing shell scripts (ksh, Bash), Ruby to set up baselines, branching, merging, and automation processes across the environments using SCM tools, including GIT; using bug tracking tools, including JIRA; using log management tools, including Splunk, ELK, and Graylog; and using monitoring tools, including Nagios and Cloudwatch.
