Job Description
TITLE: Lead Automation Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Lead Automation Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to research and gather requirements for technical automation. Design, build, test, and implement automation workflows and monitoring. Research and gather requirements for monitoring. Research, identify, and document best practices for use by the team. Provide mentoring and oversight to lower-level employees on the team. Gather requirements, build, test, and deploy automation workflows using industry-standard tools with minimal oversight. Utilize best practices to optimize technical processes using automation. Reduce incident-handling time, change-implementation time, and service delivery. Create monitoring solutions using industry standard tools. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: designing, building, and evolving technology-based automation frameworks for web, mobile, and windows thick client applications; participating in design/code reviews, measuring code coverage, assessing overall system quality, and ensuring the efficiency of automated test frameworks; collaborating with different value stream teams on the adoption and support of automation frameworks as part of the development/release pipeline; analyzing customer requirements and updating team roadmaps to reflect priorities; leading and writing code to improve quality of the automation toolchain; following engineering best practices to ensure code quality, performance, and reliability; incorporating text recognition, image recognition, and other new technologies to improve capabilities/usability of existing tools and frameworks; and working with CICD tools such as Jenkins Gradle and cloud technologies such as PCF and Amazon Web Service (AWS). In the alternative the employer will accept three (3) years of academic studies towards a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the above-mentioned fields and two (2) years of experience to satisfy the education requirement.
