The Role:

Our technology team is looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer to support and extend our Cloud platform that runs our rapidly growing lending businesses. We are seeking very strong hands-on candidates who want to be part of an exciting and challenging technology team in a startup atmosphere.

What you'll be doing:

• Work collaboratively with the engineering team in a DevOps culture to build & support systems in AWS using contemporary technology like ECS, Postgres RDS, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, ALB, S3, CodeBuild, CodePipeline and more.
• Take ownership of the scalability, performance, reliability, security and maintenance of Braviant’s production applications.
• Manage and monitor all production systems and infrastructure.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Assist in maintaining security, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Build and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines for systems and software deployments, including infrastructure configuration, testing automation and deployment automation.
• Work closely with teams of engineers and the business to gain a deep application-level knowledge of the systems and contribute to the design decisions being made for applications.

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years IT infrastructure or Software development experience.
• 2+ years Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience.
• 2+ years working with relational databases.
• Python, Bash or related shell scripting experience.
• Docker running in AWS ECS.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

What makes you stand out:

• Experience managing and supporting mission critical environments on AWS.
• Experience building out infrastructure as code in AWS.
• Scripting and automation skills in various scripting languages (Python, Bash, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experience with Git (GitHub & Bitbucket), Jira and Confluence.
• Experience architecting solutions in AWS.
• Working knowledge of cloud networking and security (VPC, NAT, DNS, WAF, Transit Gateway and VPN).
