Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (Telecommunications), Business (with concentration in Computing or Information Management) or related field or the equivalent work experience
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration is preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience providing technical guidance to software implementations leading small, Agile development teams
  • 7-10 years of experience in a client-facing role
  • 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proven Senior-level requirements gathering and solution design skill sets
  • Development experience with various front-end web technologies and terminology including, but not limited to: HTML, JavaScript, Node.JS, CSS frameworks such as SASS or LESS and front-end frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS, React, Vue.JS or Backbone.JS
  • Experience working with version control methodologies such as Git or Subversion.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs including data transmission formats such as JSON and XML
  • Possesses strong analytical acumen with the ability to identify, diagnose, break down and approach complex problems or business requirements
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven working knowledge and applicable experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project management experience/skills or certification is a plus
  • Media and telecommunications industry experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe) methodologies is a plus
  • Experience using automated testing solutions and methodologies such as ATDD, Gherkin and Cucumber, is a plus

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages and coaches team of front-end developers who drive service lines for software implementations
  • Functions as SME of several important and pivotal aspects of the Ascendon solution
  • Advises developers during software implementations - including integration with partner/third party components as necessary
  • Provides technical leadership across multiple projects
  • Recognizes vision and strategy for the end-to-end solution; keeping larger organization and product roadmap goals in mind
  • Defines, documents, follows and promotes the use of best practices around various facets of the Ascendon solution and implementation strategies
  • Identifies and highlights technical risks to management and key stakeholders
  • Thinks outside the normal realm of possibilities and manipulates available technologies to derive creative, sustainable workarounds for client objectives
  • Proactively prevents and technical issues and acts as an escalation point for impediments and works directly with members of the support team toward resolution if necessary
  • Participates in leading UAT testing as necessary and ensuring the quality of solutions and deliverables
  • Ensures technical viability of solutions as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and subsequent change requests
  • Engages regularly with members of product management to ensure all communicated client requirements are delivered as defined in SOW
  • Balances developer resources based on current obligations and immediate need; works with client project teams to reallocate resources accordingly
  • Reviews and approves estimates for technical tasks
