We are looking to hire a front end development lead at our global headquarters based in Chicago.

The front end development lead will wear multiple hats, including the need to “roll up sleeves” and get hands on with front end development and UI focused work where needed. In addition to the hands on nature of the role, the front end development lead will be responsible for people mentorship, project strategy, planning, delivery and execution. The front end development lead will be someone who is able flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment, whilst also someone who can thrive and drive change in the face of adversity where needed.

The front end development lead can be someone looking for the opportunity to step up and lead having not done so before. Candidates with at least 4+ years of front end development experience are therefore encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Definitely Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Science or related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of front end development experience required.
• Dynamic attitude and the ability to build trust (& relationships) that can inspire best practice.

What We’d Love to See

• Demonstratable experience using front end / UI technologies not limited to but including the following: JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML5, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, Jest, Git, Webpack or similar.
• Knowledge of agile development, test driven development (TDD) and SOLID principals.
• Experience with microservices architecture would be advantageous.
• Experience with financial services / financial technology industry would be advantageous.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services would be advantageous.
