Responsible for applying a hands-on approach with next-generation technologies to contribute to the team by designing and developing the latest data-driven platforms and next-generation analytic technologies.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain full stack solutions to fit business needs - full stack solutions require one or more of the following: front- end (user interfaces), back-end (APIs), database development.
- Work directly with business partners to understand business requirements. Work independently or with own team to innovate and advocate for best practices within the team.
- Design complex solutions and lead them from inception to production within the Agile team.
- Ask questions, take risk and champion new ideas
- Ensure adherence to Enterprise Standards and Architectural Strategies
How You'll Do It
- Develop and maintain back-end systems.
- Develop and maintain complex front-ends focused on user experience.
- Work with key stakeholders to design complex solutions and lead from inception to production.
- Create and maintain CI/CD processes, application infrastructure, and utilize cloud services (AWS, S3, OpenShift, Kafka).
- Innovate on and advocate for best practices and improved team processes.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Support live systems to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
- Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology
- 6+ years' experience with Computer Science, Information Technology or related
- In lieu of a degree, 8+ years' experience with Computer Science, Information Technology or related
Bonus Points If You Have
- 2+ years of hands on ETL tools experience (Ab Initio preferred)
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with at least one language such as Java, Python or C++.
- Expert knowledge and experience with software version control systems: SVN, GIT (GitHub/Gitlab), etc
- Scripting and/or programming skills required
- Experience maintaining automated build systems such as Jenkins
- A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than do things manually
- Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Delivery processes
- Hands on experience with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, S3, VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM
- Snowflake MPP database experience a plus
