The Opportunity: Come join and help lead a relentless team of software engineers dedicated to helping the legal and corporate world take charge of their document content. We are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer who will help the team achieve all application and team performance metrics, follow best practices, and deliver on schedule, all in the name of customer delight.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead the design and development for a product
  • Source for expert-level knowledge of modern software engineering techniques and methodologies
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members
  • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of software engineering concepts, best practices, and processes
  • Work with Product Management and cross functional members to prioritize, define, and estimate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met within the Scrum team

Role progression:

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Complete our Engineering onboarding plan
  • Meet the team and learn the nuts and bolts of our business, as well as where we are headed
  • Familiarize yourself with our Software Development Life Cycle and our specific flavor of Scrum
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Gain insight into the Department goals, and how they relate to the overall Company vision
  • Develop Personal Objectives in conjunction with your manager which align with the Department's objectives
  • Start contributing to the technical decisions surrounding software components, many of which are shared across multiple products, with scalability and resiliency in mind

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Contribute, as a fully integrated member of the Engineering department
  • Review product requirements to validate technical feasibility, define and further refine tasks, and help provide estimates and timelines
  • Complete assigned tasks within the given timeframe
  • Develop and ensure code is readable, extensible, meets development and quality standards, and sets a good example for the team
  • Require minimal supervision on assigned tasks, with a wide degree of creativity, latitude, and independence expected
  • Assist team members to complete their assignments within the given timeframe
  • Identify areas for improvement (performance, readability, stability, etc.) in code for other team members
  • Meet all project deadlines and milestones

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience implementing full-stack solutions at enterprise scale
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team, and the following:
    • C#
    • WPF
  • Preferred experience in the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Office Object Model
    • Office 365
    • Open XML SDK for Microsoft Office
    • Tools for Office(VSTO) and/or COM Office Add-ins
    • RESTful API(Server/Client)
    • WCF(Server/Client)
    • WEB front-end
    • XML, JSON
  • Exposure to
    • Azure/AWS
    • Authentication/authorization
  • Ability to work independently without instructions on most tasks. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
