Job Description

This is a dual role that will be 50% hybrid cloud networking design and implementation, and 50% Azure Infrastructure focused. This person will learn how to use Microsoft Azure to migrate, build, and run enterprise applications in the cloud.

10th Magnitude is one of the top Azure consultancies in the country, and our clients are looking for our expertise to help them migrate their applications to hybrid and public Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

If you have serious experience with the server and network infrastructures required to run high-performing corporate applications, then we want to give you the ability to help grow and lead one of our fastest growing practice areas. Azure experience is great but not required, we’ll train you in the fundamentals, but a passion for helping clients succeed in the cloud is required.

Responsibilities:

• You will focus on serving clients with strategy, planning, designing, and building and deploying converged network and security infrastructures
• Working with clients to understand key business objectives and drivers, and design network components to support those requirements to develop an overall network architecture.
• Responsible for working directly with 10th Magnitude clients to plan and implement their entire application portfolio migration to Azure. Including assessing their ability to move, deploying the appropriate infrastructure, performance testing, and documenting operational changes.
• Help impart to 10th Magnitude clients how advanced cloud architectures such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS enhance their agility and ability to rapidly deliver solutions to their organization
• Lead discussions around technical requirements and decision making workshops with 10th Magnitude clients
• Facilitate technical discussions and white boarding for project migration and technical solutions
• Produce and manage client-facing documentation.
• Design/Execute Azure deployments based on customer requirements & best practices

Required Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Infrastructure Systems design and engineering (Linux OR Windows)
• The ideal resource for this position will possess knowledge and experience in architecture, engineering, and deploying network infrastructure and security solutions, and should have technical experience (hands-on implementation) in these areas.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, infrastructure management concepts and tools including: VPN, Firewalls, Hyper-V, System Center, Storage
• Experience scripting in Powershell, Python, Perl or other language
• Proven experience performing server, network and storage systems design, implementation and administration
• Experience managing traditional enterprise platforms for application runtimes, integration middleware and relational databases
