We are seeking a QA Lead with New Product Introduction process expertise. As a NPI QA Lead for MSI you will be Promoting Quality Excellence within the company to customer requirements and the applicable regulatory standards. Participates in new product/technology development and supports the QA activities as part of an overall project team. As the NPI QA Lead, you will have the business acumen to work with Product Managers from around the business and IT members to drive, develop & deliver complex efforts needed to enable new MSI product launches.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Key responsibilities include:
Identify process and tool changes required to support New Product Introductions or new sales and marketing strategies (ie. subscription licensing, combined hardware and software sales as opposed to software or hardware only).
Ensure all IT tools, technologies, and process changes are in place to support a successful product launch
Generate self-service solutions to streamline work for Product Managers and Product Orderability teams
Establish and document Business Processes utilizing industry Best Practices
Provide proactive value added insights and recommendations that help the team establish priorities and set direction
Function as a liaison working with stakeholders in order to elicit, study, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
Collaborate effectively with both business and IT partners to meet commitments. Work through issues and roadblocks to complete tasks on time and on budget.
Have a technical curiosity in order to provide input (develop) system architecture roadmap to align with product roadmap and shifts in marketing, sales, supply chain, or finance strategies.
Our Ideal Candidate:
The NPI QA lead will provide testing thought leadership to drive end-to-end testing with the testing team and business users. This person will build relationships with MSI businesses, provide guidance for both manual testing and contemporary test automation. Below are the responsibilities of the NPI QA lead.
Strong manager with 10+ years of experience
Ability to manage and work with cross-functional teams and business/technology stakeholders.
Define the testing scope within the context of each release.
Resource planning and capacity management for each release/delivery.
Define Test Strategy at a Testing Governance or project level.
Define the right matrices that bring transparency and help in making conclusions.
Single point of contact for all testing services-related escalations and activities for the client.
Cross-Pollinate knowledge across project teams enabling them to understand and follow best practices.
Resolving any issues pertaining to different phases during testing.
Tracking the test progress and reporting status.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Technical Knowledge/Skills Desired:
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), CPQ and AgilePLM
Experience in Product, Project & Process Lifecycle Management
Experience with Atlassian Software Suite (Jira, Confluence) is preferred
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
Non-Technical Knowledge/Skills Desired:
Broad understanding of Oracle E-business supply chain modules such as PIM, Inventory Management, and Bills of Material
Self-motivated and ability to work on one's own – Should be able to drive execution without assistance of others
Very strong team player. Should possess an ability to foster teamwork and a positive working environment to the project team in light of changes and challenges. Should have people skills to be able to work independently with different IT team members in different roles
10+ years of experience working in a QA Lead type role for New Product Introduction implementation
Prior experience handling the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and/or the delivery of satisfactory outcomes
BA/BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
