MERGE is seeking a Jr. to mid-level Front-end/PHP Developer to join our development team. This developer will directly work on developing new and existing internal and public facing web site and applications.

Daily activities could include maintaining enhancing a suite of ADA-compliant, multi-lingual WordPress sites for a global organization, developing marketing landing pages, in addition to building HTML emails, banner development and light web production work.

Must-Haves:

• Proficiency with valid, standards-based and semantic markup
• Experience with grid-based frameworks (like Bootstrap)
• Experience in responsive layout, mobile device optimization and cross-browser testing
• Experience with version control (GIT)
• Experience with WCAG 2.0 standards and best practices for accessible development and it’s impact on web development processes
• Experience working with multi-lingual sites (WPML - WordPress Multi-Lingual plugin a plus)
• Ability to work with JS Libraries (Ability to write your own JavaScript a plus) 
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Out of the box thinking, to identify and work around process design
• Involvement in full development life cycle; design, coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to multi-task and work within deadlines
• A good sense of design and an eye for detail
• A positive attitude and love working with a team
• Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Web Development experience using front-end technologies
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of WordPress experience, including setup, configuration, theming and plug-in development
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of PHP experience
• Experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator

Nice to haves:

• Experience or exposure to Foundation, LESS and SASS
• Experience or exposure to React.js
