What you will do:
As a Principal Software Developer you will be working with a globally distributed team to release software services to support OCC's mission as the foundation for secure markets. As a member of the OCC's Renaissance Initiative, you'll be developing the next generation of options clearing services to managing the continued growth of our member organizations and exchanges.
You will be communicating regularly with subject matter experts, business analysts, architects, designers and others to build high-quality, shared understanding of the features that the developers are building. You will also be part of building the knowledge base within the company to ensure that we can continue to support and develop services according to the evolving needs of the market.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design and develop features and tests to ensure requirements are fulfilled following secure and
- resilient coding practices
- Participate in supporting other internal development and testing teams in integrating releases
- Participate in agile ceremonies to maximize team performance and enable high-quality communication with all stakeholders
- Serve as a mentor to other developers
- Provide constructive code review for other team members code contributions
- Communicate with other developers, managers, analysts, subject matter experts, and designers to ensure requirements are well understood and clear
- Provide suggestions and leadership to ensure that the team maintains a culture of continuous improvement
