Aleysian is a rapidly growing company in the Salesforce consulting space. We are looking for a motivated Salesforce Technical Architect to design and manage the delivery of technical project work on the Salesforce platform. We are looking for someone that can not only drive the technical design, but also can oversee junior development resources and ensure that the solution is technically sound. 


We are experts in helping our clients adopt and implement Salesforce as the heartbeat of their business processes, allowing employees to maximize their production and effectiveness. Most of our engagements are performed remotely from our offices in Chicago’s loop.


The Technical Architect is responsible for guiding technical solutions on the Salesforce platform. The technologies that we would expect for our Architects to be comfortable with include--but are not necessarily limited to: Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, and integration/ETL technologies. Our Technical Architects must maintain an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem, and always be willing to learn new technologies when required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Designing transformational technical solutions and working directly with customers to meet their business requirements in accordance with industry best practices
  • Working closely with our functional project team and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor, drive conversations with our customer’s IT Resources
  • Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform education
  • Create application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer’s infrastructure
  • Enforcing sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
  • Mentor junior technical resources, and contribute to their career development
  • Work collaboratively and having very strong communications skills, especially as it pertains to teaching complex concepts

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree
  • Must have work authorization in the US
  • 7+ years experience in developing technology solutions
  • 5+ years experience in managing external client projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the delivery of business consulting and systems development
  • Experience overseeing development resources
  • Relevant salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Platform Developer II)
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Development and Declarative technology stack or equivalent (Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Process Builder, Lightning, Visual Force)
  • Experience working with API management systems and security practices
  • Experience with Mulesoft or other middleware solutions (Boomi, Jitterbit, Informatica, etc)
  • Experience working with integrated development environments, source code management systems and workflow management systems
  • Experience with web development languages (JavaScript, AngularJS, React, HTML, JQuery, etc.) and software design patterns
  • Comfort working in a small company atmosphere at a fast pace
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences
  • Travel is expected and required as needed based on client preference. Typically 25-50%.
