We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer who wants to be part of a dynamic team focused on growing and maturing cloud product development. This candidate will drive test maturity, test architecture and quality across the organization and will work with engineering and engineering operations teams to drive continuous improvement across our test frameworks and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with engineering operations and software development teams to drive common automation framework and tools
  • Working closely with engineering teams to ensure continuing improvements to maintenance and effectiveness of test suites.
  • Mentor/Coach/Train software engineers and QA engineers in QA processes and best practices
  • Drive test and QA maturity throughout the organization
  • Work with QA engineers to identify new test and automation opportunities
  • Directly lead a remote QA team to execute and improve test processes in our release approval process
  • Establish appropriate metrics and quality data to actively manage and provide transparency to product quality and QA process effectiveness
  • May be responsible or designing, coding, and documenting automated test cases within a defined framework to assure the quality of a functional domain and translating existing manual regression test cases into automated tests
  • Contributing to the planning process to establish tasks and forecasts for work to be performed
  • Asking the right questions, in the right way, at the right time to reduce the introduction of quality risk
  • Being an ambassador for Agile QA by practicing principles such as TDD, ATDD and alike

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Quality Assurance discipline
  • Hands-on experience with the latest QA technologies related to their feature set or domain
  • Experience with automated test frameworks and architecture in a CI/CD and DevOps environment.
  • Extensive experience scripting
  • Experience driving and/or implementing test architecture across multiple teams and integrated applications
  • Excellent problem solving skills, independent thinking
  • Strong vision for QA architecture as well as QA and test roles and contributions
  • Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to contribute to an Agile environment that instills accountability

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of providing Software Quality Assurance for commercial-grade systems
  • 5+ years of experience in writing automated tests
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or related
  • Excellent knowledge of testing medium to large software systems
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Agile development methodology
  • Experience in working with the .NET based applications will be a plus
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
