QA Manager
The QA team at Higi is responsible for ensuring that all kiosk, web, mobile and service-based software is delivered to our customers and internal stakeholders with the highest quality. Our team, comprised primarily of SDETs, are focused on ensuring that we provide automated tests to minimize regression testing efforts and optimize Higi’s release cadence within our agile development environment.
As QA Manager at Higi, the right candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the QA process and will be responsible for continuous delivery of high quality software. This candidate will report to the CTO and will directly manage Higi’s existing QA team, currently comprised of 5 team members.
Major responsibilities include:
- Selection, configuration and maintenance of tools
- Directly managing individual SDETs and Test Engineers (both onsite and offshore)
- Defining KPIs and providing reports to management
- Participating in automated and manual testing efforts when necessary.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering and Devops teams to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the SDLC and that QA processes are iteratively improved
Key qualifications include:
- SDET-level knowledge and experience working with one or more programming languages to build efficient, maintainable automated tests
- Experience managing a software QA team within an agile development environment
- Possess a deep understanding of automation/performance planning, execution, and triage for projects on multiple platforms
- Proven experience transforming a highly manual test process to a primarily automated test process
- Management experience of at least 5 direct reports in a previous role
- Management experience of offshore resources
- Solid understanding of QA automation best practices
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Experience in a regulated environment is a plus
- IOT testing experience a plus
