We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Product team, based in our downtown Chicago office. Our QA analysts work side-by-side with our dev teams in a true agile environment, developing and executing test plans, ensuring high quality web and mobile experiences, validating business objectives and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a passion for quality, a strong understanding of best practices, and is able to work well with cross functional teams.Our QA team does more than push buttons and check boxes! We are looking for analysts who can act as customer advocates and help our team continue to deliver world-class solutions.
What you’d be doing:
Daily stand ups to talk as a team about daily priorities, bi-weekly sprint planning to answer follow up questions and give updates and insight to bugs
Outlining full feature testing
Write business use cases, test cases and test scripts
Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements based on test results
Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results
Analyze automation test results and present findings
Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
Testing JIRA tickets for functional, visual, usability, regression, exploratory, cross-browser, and device testing
Writing manual test steps that include setup, iterations, expected and actual results
Writing bugs and user stories in JIRA with clear acceptance criteria
Writing regression test plans for large features and quarterly releases/epics
Critical Path - high level testing for quick releases and hot fixes
Creating testing checklists and identifying QA process improvements
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with various teams to determine root cause and resolution
Employing advanced QA techniques such as equivalence class partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision table testing, and black box/white box/gray box understanding
Document software defects in bug tracking system and monitor bug resolutions
We want someone who has:
2+ years of QA experience and a background in web technologies
JIRA experience is a plus
AGILE TEAM experience is a plus
Experience creating test plans
Experience testing with integrated systems
Ability to gather reproduction steps and document issues
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience with defect prioritization and issue classification
Testing experience from prototypes to MVP to maintenance releases
Experience with usability testing is a plus
