We’re a small but growing technology team who relies heavily on each member to contribute at each step of the development process, from requirements gathering through to testing and feedback. Our team is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who lives and breathes overall quality of our product. We are working toward scaling our technology this year, which includes improving our testing process, so one exciting thing you’ll work on is building our automated testing framework. Our QA team works closely with many people, including our Engineering Manager, our Product Managers, our Marketing and Support teams, and obviously our dev team, so immediate feedback and collaboration is guaranteed. The Role, along with everything you’d expect

• The Quality Assurance Engineer role is an ideal opportunity to take what you’ve learned about automated testing and shape the processes and culture of the QA team
• Lead planning and execution required to build automation framework
• Triage and troubleshoot complex user-reported system defects and assist in various system troubleshooting, balancing, and correcting efforts including analysis, verification, and validation of issues and fixes
• Work cross-departmentally with our Trader Support team and third party systems to diagnose, investigate, and resolve bugs
• This role is perfect for a critical thinker who can see the whole picture - quality of our entire product, not just of a single test you’re running - and who will enjoy analyzing and choosing the best method of testing to deliver that
• The role is also a great fit for candidates who want to learn more about the trading industry while ensuring a quality product for our users, who interact with it everyday

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with an automated testing framework, to hit the ground running with laying the foundation for automated testing. You’re comfortable writing various types, from end-to-end to API automated tests
• Desire to own your role, from taking initiative to working with our Trader Support team, to staying up to date learning about modern automation tooling, your overall objective is the success and usability of our product. You don’t want test specs constantly handed over to you for testing, but rather you want to dig in to each project, learn about it, and provide the best results for your team
• Communication skills; you love to think of ways to make the product better as you’re testing, and you think of user experience at every turn, so ability to clearly communicate those ideas is crucial!
• Open-minded and collaborative. Being open to using different tools, including quality management software, and willingness to work closely on a team are essential for your happiness and success here
• Ability to use discretion and critical thinking; whether you’re assisting our Trader Support team to diagnose an issue, deciding how to test a particular feature, or noticing an opportunity to smooth communication between a department and our dev team, you don’t rely solely on process or instruction to make your impact
