ThinkMarkets is searching for a highly skilled Ruby developer to join our Chicago team. In this role, you will be working on a new application and helping with new features and enhancements, partnering with various teams across the globe. Responsibilities:
 

• Evolve existing web applications to improve scalability, performance, and security
•  Work collaboratively with the product and development teams to create highly efficient software
• Champion product, quality, and process improvements
• Troubleshoot issues with technical support to resolve customer issues
• Pragmatic technical decision-making to ensure we're delivering high quality software as quickly as possible
• Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with standards
• Create and maintain any technical documentation

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience developing and maintaining web applications
• Experienced in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and advanced server-side development skills
• Capable of designing and implementing RESTful APIs and its architecture
• Development experience with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MS-SQL and Mongo DB
• Experience working on a small, agile and global team
• Experience in a financial services or trading environment a plus
