About the Role

The Salesforce Administrator will lead the ongoing development of our Salesforce.com Lightning Enterprise Sales Cloud instance. The administrator will work closely with multiple functional leaders, departments, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes. This role is part technical administrator and part sales and marketing operations manager. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform, as well as providing accurate business performance metrics and managing lead funnel operations. The success of this role is dependent on someone who can bring their own ideas and solutions to the business’ problems while managing their work efficiently and collaboratively. This role is on the Sales Operations team and reports to the Manager, Sales Operations & Enablement.

Responsibilities

System Administration & Development

  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 75+ users, including user account maintenance, profiles, and roles, with an immediate need focused on permissions clean up
  • Develop automation and process improvement opportunities through tasks, process builder workflows, validation rules or alerts to improve the usability of Salesforce for efficiently managing business continuity
  • Provide daily administration and support of Salesforce, including customization of objects, fields, record types and page layouts
  • Independently evaluate, develop, test and launch new development requests to meet business needs
  • Provide training, technical support, maintenance, day-to-day guidance and troubleshooting for Salesforce users to maintain adoption and satisfaction

Sales & Marketing Operations

  • Develop, maintain and perform processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity; conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, and update information in batches
  • Provide regular cadences of reporting on business processes, state of the sales pipeline, user activities, contracts, contacts, accounts and leads to the sales organization and executive team
  • Build and maintain custom dashboards for automated reporting on business forecasting, goal attainment, and other KPIs
  • Utilize Google Sheets for custom reporting elements with advanced formula use
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives and lead funnel management with operational support across integrated applications

Integration Support

  • Effectively act as the technical Salesforce liaison between our users, our cross-departmental application leads, and external vendors
  • Develop and document requirements for configuring, testing, launching, maintaining and improving integrations and API connections with:
    • Pardot inbound lead and email marketing automation (lead: Marketing & SFDC Admin)
    • GrowLabs outbound lead outreach (lead: Sales Development)
    • Slack and Troops messaging and alerts (lead: SFDC Admin)
    • Einstein for Salesforce Inbox (lead: SFDC Admin)
    • Ironclad contract lifecycle management with DocuSign (lead: Compliance)
    • NetSuite finance and invoicing integration (lead: Finance)
    • Mavenlink project management software (lead: Business Operations)
    • our own Civis Platform
    • and others

Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 4+ years of demonstrated success in Salesforce administration, with 5+ years of related sales and marketing operations or business analyst experience
  • SQL or other query language knowledge a big plus
  • Process-driven self-starter with solid organizational and planning skills
  • Analytical and forward-thinking data lover who likes to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal communications with internal and external stakeholders
