Job Title: Salesforce – Commerce Cloud Technical Architect
Who You Are: As the Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Architect you will help Slalom in leading projects as well as participate in delivery leadership. You will work with the team to provide high quality code solutions to meet client needs in the implementation, enhancement and support of the ecommerce platforms. You should have knowledge of Commerce Business to Consumer (B2C) as well as Business to Business (B2B) experience from an architecture perspective as well as configuration and data changes on the platform
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for creating a technical specification around the code / configuration for projects you are assigned to.
- You will provide guidance and oversight to development teams to ensure that architectural best practices are being followed.
- You will contribute to the rest of the team and help share knowledge of the both platforms and work closely with 3rd party vendors and Salesforce around integration and SRA
- You will work closely with the client, technical lead and project manager to understand the business needs and objectives, using your knowledge of the commerce platforms.
- As part of a project team, you will guide client requirements You will work with the project team to assign those tasks out to the developers on the team, assist in running sprint planning meetings, and participate in the project scrum meetings.
- You will be the commerce subject matter expert beyond the basic commerce developer certifications and share knowledge with the team and help mentor newer developers.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- 8+ years project experience in a hands-on technical leadership position
- 3+ years of experience with Commerce Salesforce platforms, preferably Demandware and Cloudcraze. B2C Platform and/or 1+ years of experience with Commerce B2B Platform
- Experience using CSS & SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, BackboneJS, Handlebars and other front-end development languages.
- Experience using JS Controllers, Demandware Script, ISML Templates, VisualForce, Real time data exchange using Web services, and understand how to integrate to 3rd party code and external systems.
- One or more current Commerce Cloud B2C certifications (B2C Commerce Developer); and or (B2B Commerce Developer) is preferred.
- The ability to understand the overall scope of the project, complete tasks in a timely fashion and create estimates.
- Be willing to learn, take commerce certification exams, pass and get certified.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating with a diverse set of people across groups and organizational levels
- Enthusiastic, professional and confident team player with a strong focus on client success who can present effectively even under adverse conditions
