Openpath is a leader within the access control industry. Openpath’s access control solution makes businesses more secure with multi-factor authentication, enables a contactless entry experience and can be easily scaled and managed due to its cloud-based architecture.
Job Description
We are looking for technical talent who can help us build, scale and innovate as we develop our industry leading platform for access control and office automation. Strong analytical and software skills are a must in order to join our team, and we are particularly seeking candidates with experience and skills in multiple technologies, in order to contribute broadly to our team-centric approach to product development.
Responsibilities:
Develop within native modules in iOS/Swift and/or Android/Java depending on skillset
Develop software for the cross-platform mobile applications (React Native) that power our end users’ and administrators’ interactions with our physical access control systems
Work with product and software development teams to guide overall system architecture and design, particularly to help ensure that operational needs (deployability, maintainability, monitoring, troubleshooting) are accounted for
Contribute as other skills allow within our fast-paced environment and evolving product portfolio
Take a holistic view of how our architecture functions in production, share responsibility for the quality and reliability of the entire system
Qualifications:
5+ years of mobile software development experience in native iOS/Swift and/or Android/Java
Experience developing API-backed mobile applications
Experience with React Native mobile application development
Familiarity with Bluetooth/BLE development in mobile applications
Working experience with T architectures and data protocols like MQTT a plus
Prefer experience with packaging and providing a mobile SDK for customers
Familiarity with using mobile SDK(s) for cloud services, such as AWS/IoT, AWS/CloudWatch, Datadog, SentryIO, or other monitoring services.
Experience with agile methodologies and rapid iteration cycles
Location Requirement:
Our OpenPath software development office is in Culver City thus this individual must already reside in Greater Los Angeles. We do not offer relocation assistance for this opportunity.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of mobile software development experience OR 5+ years of Android / iOS development experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
