Department OverviewPelco, Inc. is a Motorola Solutions Company and a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of predictive video security solutions, including video surveillance cameras, video management and recording systems, security software, and aligned services.
Job Description

• Designing features for our mobile monitoring solutions. We design and build everything from the hardware to the software for our video surveillance and access control systems

• Writing unit tests, automated UI tests and executing test cases to ensure the quality of the product

• Release high quality software to our customers for their mission-critical public safety and security systems through working on a cross-disciplinary scrum team with embedded UX, QA, and product management

• Integrating with backend services to deliver a secure, fast and scalable mobile user experience

• Researching new directions for security software, for example using AI and mobile devices to help guards get to a security incident while it’s still happening

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

• 5+ years of experience building cross-platform native (iOS and Android) and web applications

• Proficient in Swift, Kotlin and Java

• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

• Experience with .NET, Java, Node.js or similar back end technologies

• Familiarity with modern mobile and frontend build pipelines and tools

• Thorough knowledge of mobile app deployment experience developing responsive design websites

• Liaise with product development team to plan new products and features

• Ensures new and legacy applications meet quality standards

Locations:

As our Video Security and Access Control division has brand offices throughout North America, the candidate must reside near a VS&AC office location - Vancouver, Fresno, Los Angeles or Fort Collins. The individual must already reside in the greater area of an previously listed city; no relocation assistance is provided for this role.
