Job Description:
TITLE: Senior Associate, Programming
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Associate, Programming in Riverwoods, IL to participate in developing large scale customer facing software applications. Work on agile team to design and build new product offerings for Discover’s award-winning digital products. Participate in breaking down complex requirements into workable technical solutions to solve business problems. Participate in building a high quality software for large scale and highly available systems. Work with the digital department developer community to support technical initiatives and provide input into best practices. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
Skills:
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related position: participating in Agile Software development; utilizing web services including SOAP and REST, relational databases and object oriented design principles; participating in application delivery utilizing Pivotal Cloud Foundry; and utilizing technologies including Spring Boot, JVM, Jenkins, Junit and Github. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
