Description

closerlook’s Senior Interactive Developer is a full-stack engineer who will collaborate with cross-functional members to create functioning web applications based on business requirements, coding standards, best practices, graphic designs and UX specifications. This requires the ability to turn working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, MVC, MS SQL and more into solutions for our clients and their end users. The Senior Interactive Developer is responsible for identifying opportunities to increase speed to market, cost efficiency and scalability while delivering client solutions on time and within budget. They must be willing and able to work directly with clients and contribute to technological strategies, timelines, scopes and budgets to ensure successful results. A true passion for technology is a must.

 

Responsibilities

  • Constructs new web applications with rich user interfaces according to precise specifications as well as supporting and enhancing existing applications
  • Collaborates with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver expected results according to business requirements, creative specifications, project timelines and budgets
  • Focuses on continual improvement of policies, processes and internal systems to increase overall efficiency, quality and scalability
  • Writes clear and comprehensive technical documentation
  • Identifies and mitigates risks before they become issues as far upstream as possible while providing solution-oriented recommendations
  • Exhibits strong technical leadership skills across the agency
  • Becomes a technical contact for some of our clients, and work directly with their marketing and technical teams to address their needs
  • Stays up to date with the latest technology trends and identify valuable ways to leverage them both internally and for our clients

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience building full stack web applications with HTML/CSS, JavaScript (ES6 preferred), ASP.NET, C#, MS SQL and more
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, analytic algorithms and visualization layouts
  • Proficient working with complex version control systems such as Git or Team Foundation Server
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Visual Studio and programming in Windows environments
  • Ability to lead technical projects with limited supervision and “pixel perfect” attention to detail
  • Some experience with CMS systems such as WordPress, AEM or SiteCore
  • Experience building complex animations using modern web technologies such as SVGs or WebGL
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful API web services
  • Experience contributing to all phases of the SDLC including scope, timelines, and estimates while proactively creating solutions to achieve results despite challenges and setbacks
  • Strong documentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong understanding of cross-browser and cross-device web compatibility
  • Ability to convey highly technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable writing and deploying complex stored procedures
  • Ability to identify and provide supporting documentation of procedures and requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient building banner ads, HTML emails, iOS and Android mobile apps, or desktop applications
  • Experience with systems engineering such as DevOps, continuous integration and Azure services
  • Experience working at an agency, in a regulated industry, or with agile methodologies
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes or scheduled jobs
  • Experience with database design and administration of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Veeva or SalesForce
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator with ability to crop, resize or perform small adjustments to production assets
