About the role:

Your job will be to work alongside our team of Javascript front-end engineers to release experiences that are scalable, performant, supportable, and that delight our users.
You’ll work with within one of our product ‘squads,’ a co-located, cross-functional agile team comprised of a product manager, UX design, backend, front, and mobile engineers. We like collaboration and don't want anyone to develop in a vacuum. Our lead front-end engineer will serve as a mentor and be available to help guide your approach. However, it is very important that you are highly self-motivated, and can work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.

A qualified candidate will:

• Have 4+ years with Javascript as your primary programming language

• Be able to coach and help other developers

• Have solid knowledge of Vanilla Javascript

• Have experience with JavaScript (ES6), React.js/Redux, CSS/SASS/PostCSS

• Have an understanding of fundamental UX concepts and a good feeling for design

• Have experience with Webpack or similar module bundlers

• Have experience with Unit Testing

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with Backbone.  We don’t develop anything new using Backbone, but we do have an older part of our platform that will require maintenance.

• Experience working with AWS Technologies

• Experience with Python, Docker, and/or Ansible

• Experience with Recompose and Redux-Saga
