The Opportunity to get IN!

We are currently hiring a .NET Developer to join our Chicago team. This position will be in charge of re-designing and upgrading hi-traffic, scalable interfaces for our internal and external facing systems and technologies with focus on application development and project management. This role will work closely with the product management and QA teams to ensure all customer requirements are implemented.

Responsibilities include:

• Create innovative solutions to complex business requirements.
• Partner with IS to understand business needs, and ensure that the end product/feature results meet the business requirements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot any software problems.
• Perform customizations, system enhancements, and report writing.
• Develop all layers of an application – front-end (UI), middle tier, and backend (T-SQL/SQL Server)
• Assist in problem resolution and support the project/application teams in their endeavors
• Work with, and at the direction of the Application Architect and IT Management.
• Evaluate and communicate with management that solution designs meet the business needs of all stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills, adapt quickly and work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Perform additional technical and project management tasks, as needed.

Requirements for consideration include the following:

• 5+ years of progressive business/IT/development experience
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with .NET (C# or any other object-oriented discipline) development (Visual Studio 2008/2012, TFS, ASP.NET, ASMX and WCF Web Services, and ADO.NET) with solid understanding of object-oriented programming and computer science foundations
• 3+ years of experience designing and working with scalable n-tier web-based applications(UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
• Working knowledge of developing cross-browser UI’s.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodology.
• Basic understanding of networking skills and concepts
• 1+ years of proven systems architectural experience is a plus
• Experience with JQuery, AngularJS, KnockoutJS or similar technologies is a plus
• Experience with tools such as MSMQ, MEM Cache, HADOOP, ActiveMQ, or MQ Server is a plus
• Experience with customizing vendor products, and ability to learn new concepts and software is necessary.
• Must demonstrate a high level of responsiveness in communicating with people, both within the organization (from developers to senior management) and with customers/partners using all forms of communication (e.g. phone, in-person and email)
• Must have an eye for design and be detail-oriented
• Must possess a high energy and a sense of urgency
• Experience excelling within fast paced, high-energy environments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required
