The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for solving complex problems relating to network and network security related issues. This candidate will be in in collaboration with our Information Security team, you will make key decisions to harden our network at the border, develop security policies and guidance at all levels of the network, and work with other network engineers, technicians, and campus partners to implement the necessary tools and processes. CoinFlip seeks a Senior Network Engineer to help with automation tasks that arise as we modernize our company.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce best practice processes for network planning, configurations, monitoring, patch management and security
  • Drive a strong design architecture that maximizes performance, link availability and provides redundancy/diversity
  • Design maintain and deploy firewalls and access lists
  • Develop & implement best-practice approaches to network security
  • Discover effective solutions to common networking-related issues
  • Monitor critical network infrastructure on a continual basis
  • Optimize logging practices and alert functionality
  • Document design and engineering standards documents
  • Working knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems, authentications, log management and vulnerability management
  • Perform analysis on core networking systems and improve on a continual basis
  • Researching risks / CVEs and patching when needed.

Requirements

  • BS required in C/S or related field
  • 6+ years experience in networking security
  • 3+ years experience working with Fortinet hardware
  • Fortinet NSE 6+
  • CISSP
  • Cisco CCNA Route/Switch or similar
  • Knowledge of regulatory CS frameworks (ISO 27001)
  • 1 year experience 3rd party vendor management
  • Firewall / Internal routing experience (policies, QoS)
  • Switching Fundamentals (VLAN, STP, LAG, 802.11x)
  • WAN Routing Experience (BGP, SD-WAN)
  • VPN Experience (IPSec, SSL)
  • CA / PKI Experience (CA management, cert distribution)
  • RADIUS / RADIUS Accounting Experience
  • LDAP / Directory / SSO / Authentication Experience
  • DNS Experience
  • Edge Computing & Content Delivery Experience
  • Vuln Testing Experience
  • Pen Testing Experience
