Senior Production Support Engineer
About The Role
You’ll be a responsible for providing system and software support for our enterprise application. You’ll review cases escalated by our support specialists, troubleshoot and perform a technical analysis, offer temporary solutions, and work with the development teams to prioritize a resolution. Additionally, you’ll use monitoring tools to ensure the stability of our platform and proactively resolve issues. Finally, you’ll be collaborating across development, QA, and client facing team to document and disseminate application knowledge.

You will play a critical role in the stability of our platform and enable our clients to recruit top talent. In doing so, you will contribute to Yello’s ongoing success as an industry leader in recruitment software.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum: 5+ years of application/system support experience
- Proficiency in Ruby, Java, or other OO language
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related degree, or relevant work experience
- Ability to troubleshoot an application from a comprehensive perspective including application code, data, and infrastructure related issues
- Expert working knowledge of SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and articulate incidents clearly
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly on the job
- UNIX/LINUX and shell scripting knowledge
- Experience working on performance, tuning, scaling and security issues
- Experience using non-relational data stores (Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch, etc)
- A desire to share knowledge and help others on your team grow
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Assertive, self-motivated and self-directed
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, etc)
- Experience in Airbrake and/or New Relic
