Job Description
TITLE: Senior Quality Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Quality Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to lead, guide, and participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of the scenarios, procedures, and QE suites. Ensure content and structure of all QE documents and artifacts are documented and maintained. Liaise with development and testers for iterations, testing, and deployment activities. Assist in the preparation of system, integration, and user acceptance tests. Ensure proper configuration management of the QE artifacts produced and traceability of the tests to the requirements. Recognize when test automation is appropriate and, if it is, plan the effort. Ensure that test environment is ready before test execution and manage during test execution. Schedule tests for execution and monitor, measure, control, and report on test progress, product quality status, and test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions. Assist in the preparation of agendas for meetings. Conduct status check meetings with team and communicate by means of chat and emails. Report on quality engineering activities, including results, coverage, required resources, defects discovered, and their status and performance baselines. Attend regular QE team meetings. Plan, monitor, control, and execute quality engineering activities and tasks. Provide input into the estimation of effort. Prepare software plans. Assist in the analysis of requirements. Monitor requirements from the project and manage Change of Scope (COS). Identify hardware and software requirements for quality engineering setup. Escalate issues about project requirements to Project Manager or Quality Manager. Adhere to all processes and procedures for quality engineering as per established standards defined by the organization. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing knowledge of Behavior Driven Design concepts; working with testing tool frameworks, including Serenity and Cucumber; working with CI/CD tool Jenkins Pipeline to perform automated build test on applications, performing automatic reviews with static analyses using Sonarqube analysis; utilizing scheduler tool Autosys to run shell scripts; and utilizing programming language Java to automate web services and database servers.
