TITLE: Senior Quality Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Quality Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to lead projects in collaboration with the other stakeholders and management and devise quality engineering objectives, organizational quality engineering policies, and quality engineering strategies for the project. Lead, guide, and participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of scenarios, procedures, and QE suites. Ensure content and structure of all QE documents or artifacts are documented and maintained. Liaise with Development and Tester for iterations, testing, and deployment activities. Assist in the preparation of System, Integration and User Acceptance Tests. Ensure proper configuration management of the QE artifacts produced and traceability of the tests to the requirements. Recognize when test automation is appropriate and plan the test effort. Ensure the test environment is ready before test execution and managed during test execution. Schedule the tests for execution and monitor, measure, control, and report on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions. Assist in the preparation of agendas for meetings and frequent status-check meetings with the team. Report upon quality engineering activities, including results, coverage, required resources, defects, status, and performance baselines. Attend regular QE team meetings. Plan, monitor, control, and execute the quality engineering activities and tasks. Provide input into the estimation of effort. Prepare the software plan. Assist in the analysis of requirements during the requirements analysis phase of projects. Keep track of requirements from the project and manage Change of Scope (COS). Identify the hardware and software requirement for the quality engineering setup. Escalate the issues about project requirements such as software, hardware, and resources to project manager or quality manager. Adhere to all processes and procedures for quality engineering as per established standards defined by the organization. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: performing standard QA and progressive QA automation for consumer facing capabilities; working in an Agile Scrum team leveraging Test Driven Development (TDD); building testing automations leveraging tools, including Cucumber, Selenium, or TestNG; utilizing Agile and collaboration tools, including Rally, Jira, HP ALM, Microsoft SharePoint/Teams; testing Web services API-Rest and SOAP using SOAP UI, POSTMAN, and Swagger Editor, and automating REST Web services utilizing Java; and performing different types of testing, including Data Driven testing, Database, Sanity, Functional, and System testing, End-to-End testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
