At West Monroe, our people are our business.

We pride ourselves on bringing a different mindset to consulting—and that takes a different approach: highly collaborative, flexible, and tenacious.

Our people-first culture is core to our identity. It’s something we care about, and something we strive to enrich and preserve. No hierarchies. No siloes. No egos. Just smart ideas, unique perspectives, and the drive to make an impact for our clients.

We also know that the best outcomes for both our people and our clients result from including diverse perspectives at the table. That’s why inclusion & diversity is one of our core values.

Every day our clients rely on us to help them tackle their greatest challenges, by strategically deploying technology through a business-focused and industry-specific lens. We bring together both the right knowledge and the right approach, so that they can capitalize on opportunities and deliver real results. That takes the right team. And that’s where you come in.

Ready to thrive in the next step on your career journey?

We are looking for a Senior Developer (Sr. Consultant) with experience building solutions that solve technology needs for our clients using SharePoint and React. Senior developers will focus on design, coding, and delivery of technology-based business solutions for enterprise clients across various industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Software Engineering practice area and collaborate in a team of consultants to ensure the successful delivery of digital workplace and custom web development solutions using the Microsoft 365 technology stack.

As a senior developer, you will work closely with the technical team to design cloud-based solutions, serve as a development lead, and implement solutions that deliver measurable business value. As a technology agnostic firm, you will also be able to continuously expand your skillset while working with cutting edge tools, libraries, and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with key decision makers (CTO, VP Software Engineering, etc.) at our clients to understand their vision, gather requirements, and offer relevant insight based on experience in the field
  • Work in a collaborative team setting to support our clients and help solve their business problems through analysis of existing user interfaces, applications, and processes
  • Develop out of box and custom solutions in SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps, and Microsoft Teams; leverage SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to build tailored solutions for our clients on SharePoint Online
  • Lead development efforts for full lifecycle projects from requirements gathering through design, coding, implementation, and solution roll-out
  • Implement and customize Microsoft 365 and SharePoint-based solutions for Digital Workplace, Collaboration Portals, Enterprise Content Management, Workflows, Systems Integration, and Enterprise Search
  • Work towards leading overall consultant development teams of 1-3 junior developers, reporting up to the architect
  • Guide organizations’ understanding of best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate on-premise SharePoint environments to M365
  • Develop methodologies, libraries, tools, etc. to help our clients and our teams stay ahead of the curve

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required
  • Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 applications and Azure cloud services is required
  • 3-5+ years of software engineering and/or web-based development experience covering areas such as:
    • SharePoint (on-prem and online) development – creating both out of box and custom solutions with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development, Power Automate, PowerApps, and Microsoft Teams integration
    • Design, development, and deployment of enterprise level portals and collaboration solutions for SharePoint On-prem and Online platforms using JavaScript, C#, PowerShell scripting, XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with client-side/UI technologies such as JavaScript, React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, Node.js, etc. is required
  • Demonstrated experience using test automation tools (Enzyme, Jest, etc.) preferred
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies and software engineering concepts – design patterns, requirements management, development methodologies, testing, and documentation
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members or developers while leading projects; desire and willingness to lead a team of 1-3 application developers on client engagements
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environment
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently, with an understanding of how those technologies apply to business problems
  • Willingness to travel for out of town client engagements
