Responsibilities

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Architect. They will report to the Chief Architect and will collaborate with the entire enterprise to help design hospitality platforms, services, and integrations that will deliver technology as a strategic advantage. Hyatt’s platforms and services operate on a global scale to benefit our guests, colleagues, customers, and owners at 900 hotel properties in 50+ countries.

The Senior Software Architect will actively participate in the Architecture Forum to regularly review new technologies and solutions proposed for introduction into the environment and to facilitate communication and collaboration across all teams. The forum will support modernization of existing systems as well as development of new products in a continuous delivery model, leveraging agile and DevOps best practices.

They will help determine when we should evaluate new technologies and assist with prototyping and proof of concept efforts. They will also evaluate existing technologies and guide efforts to manage the process to standardize, migrate or sunset items as appropriate.

The candidate must be a systems thinker and have a diverse combination of experience across many dimensions, with depth in some areas:

Application & Integrations Architecture

Application Support and Production Support

DevOps

Software Architecture and PaaS

SaaS and application integration via APIs

10+ years of experience in a full-time technology role. Previous experience as an architect, mentoring developers.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

Software Engineering, Architecture, Technical Operations

Strong Agile and DevOps experience preferred

The Hyatt Corporate Office is located along the Chicago River within Chicago's Loop neighborhood. It is close to train stations, bus stops, restaurants and nightlife.
